Lane Cove Rd – On Ramp (M2)
Construction Value: $22 million
The construction of the new on-ramp allows motorists to avoid up to 6 sets of traffic lights, when compared to the alternative route via Lane Cove Road and Epping Road, or 20 sets of traffic lights, when compared to the Pacific Highway alternative from Ryde Road to the Gore Hill Freeway. By using the new ramp, motorists are able to access the Hills M2 motorway experiencing a faster trip from Lane Cove Road to Delhi Road and beyond directly into the Lane Cove Tunnel.
The scope of works for this project included large diameter drilling through pre-cast concrete wall panels for soil nails.
